MSN and Linux (or ISPs in general and Linux)

<< Is there a way to get MSN to work from linux? >>

Probably. As long as they use standard dialup networking you should be fine.

That it would seem.

But I use the correct phone login and password, but dialer conncets then disconnects.

I would assume AOL would have similar issues...

Try this:

With Linux, try KPPP and set it up just like you would setup MS DUN.

TCP?IP
User: MSN/username
Password
DNS: Domain name msn.com Config: auto
DNS server:
209.153.128.4
169.207.1.3
Dial Authentication: pap

I "think" the important part is using a user name of "MSN/usernane"

Thnaks Hitman. thanks to the MsN/username tip I am posting this from Linux.

Man, its been a long time since I used Navigator...

At least in Linux mys system is no longer "hiccupping" and I can surf a little faster....

AT&T works well with Linux in my experience.
And ditch Navigator ASAP! Try mozilla, tabbed browsing, and much more stable (among other things)

Ill second that. Its one of the 3 best browsers out there right now. Unfortunately only 2 of them run on linux and only 1 on OpenBSD 😉

Opera, Mozilla, and Omniweb are what I consider the best.
