Hey guys, got a question here. Tried the search but no luck. When I disable Msmsgr in the msconfig tab and restart my computer, it comes back up in my system tray. I can disable it by right clicking and clicking on "Exit" but when I restart it comes back.

Like I said Start - Run - msconfig - de-select MsMsgr - Restart computer - MsMsgr in the System Tray

Anything to be concerned about here?

Open the MSN Messenger (or Windows Messenger) application and you should be able to find the Options/Preferences that allow you to select not to load it on startup. Do a quick Google search and you can also find the various ways to just uninstall it if you don't want it on the system at all.

indeed. the first thing i do with a windows installation is uninstall the crap.

I hadn't paid attention and realized they made Windows Messenger uninstallable by default with SP1. Until last week I hadn't done an install with any SP's already integrated so I was working with original XP and had to hack it to make it uninstallable.
