What the heck is this coolerxp thing? I ran it and suddenly my computer runs about 10 degrees celsius cooler. Is it just clocking my cpu down, or how does it achieve this?
 
It is forcing an idle signal to the cpu.

I don't like it though.

I prefer CpuIdle pro.

However, if you have a good HSF and good case ventilation I wouldn't worry about your cpu temp. Just use MotherBoard Monitor to keep an eye on your cpu temp.
 
i'm running under load at 53 degrees, which seems a bit hot, but it is an athlonxp1600 running @ 1666mhz, so i guess that could be part of the problem.
