MSIE - Auto Rename for downloading?

Is there any possible way to have MSIE automatically rename a file if you go to download a file you already have..... I know I have seen MSIE do this before and was curious if there is still a way to do so with MSIE 6.... basically lets say you had mirc.exe... and you went to download mirc.exe to the same dir again... I could swear I have seen in the past where MSIE would change the filename to mirc (1).exe or something of the sort?
