My son currently has Sandy I5-2310 running on H61 motherboard, 8G memory, window 7 and XFX double D 7850 2G. He wants to crossfire with another XFX 7850. He has already overclock XFX 7850 from 860/1200 to 1125/1200 without voltage change. He plays Farcry 3 on 1080p. Will MSI Z77A-G41 Z77 motherboard bottleneck both 7850 since it got only one PCI Express 3.0 x16 and the other is PCI Express 2.0 x16 (1 @x4)? It is currently on sale for $70 AR on newegg. Is it better for him to get Z77 motherboard with two PCI Express 3.0 x16?

Without response for almost a week and during this time, I searched the web and actually found one article with data showing crossfire x8/x8 vs x16/x4. The average frame rate loss is around 10% and worst case is 23%. Here is the link to that article.
