So my computer wouldn't boot one day. I flipped the motherboard's multi bios switch and was able to boot into bios. I flashed the bios and the computer booted up into windows no problem. and then wondered whether I should have flipped it back before flashing it.

So i shut down computer, boot into bios, flip the multi bios switch back and then select to flash bios from usb stick.

The computer says flashing, goes to reboot to complete flash and never turns back on.

So I flip the multibios switch back and try to boot. It does a little better and starts generating the little codes at th bottom right of the screen then just hangs there.

First it hung on A2 so I unplugged all the USB devices. That seemed to help as it got past A2 code and now just hangs on D7 code. It's just sitting there now and I dont know what to do as I cant even get into bios as when I switch the multi bios one bios doesnt turn the monitor on and the other just hangs at the D7 code.

Anyone know what to do?

Proper way to flash a bios> set everything to defaults in the bios>Flash the bios> after flash When booting set everything to defaults again>Power down> Clear Cmos.

If your having issue's try bare minimal, Also have you converted the file(With the bupdater) make a new file on desk top then insert bupdater and new bios. Have you followed the instructions correctly? It's not easy, not hard either, people get in a hurry. Go to the down load for your board, find the bupdater, the bios you want, also you'll need a bootable formatted USB jump drive.

I agree with others in resetting cmos with JUmper. Switch to main bios and unplug the system. Wait about 10 secs. Either borrow a jumper from another location on MB (note it a put back when done) and put it on the JBAT1 right beside the battery or use a flat screw driver. You may have to remove video card to see it since its usually under it. Dont turn it on or plug it in at all during shorting this. Do this for 10 secs.

Remove/put back and plug everything in and see if powers up.
