So I haven't been keeping up with motherboards very much but am looking to upgrade to a 5820k and am looking at one of two options:

MSI X99A SLI PLUS

MSI X99S SLI Krait Edition
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...3130812&cm_re=msi_x99s-_-13-130-812-_-Product

The Krait edition I can get locally for $191 after tax or the X99A I can get for $195 from Newegg (no tax), so basically the same price.

Chances of going SLI are extremely slim. As far as overclocking and general performance goes, is there much of a difference between the two, they look almost identical to me except the X99A has USB 3.1 (don't think I'll care) and the Krait is advertised as 12 phase power. I like the white paint on the Krait better so I'm leaning that way unless there's a reason to get the X99A. Any thoughts?
