MSI vs DFI vs ASUS

Ok i am going to buy another motherboard and i am thinking one of these three motherboards. I just wanna know which is better, i am using MSI NEO4 PLATINUM SLI motherboard and i really like it, but i saw there are new players like Asus SLI Premium, & DFI lanparty Ultra D & SLI.

1. MSI NEO4 K8N PLATINUM SLI

2. ASUS K8N NEO4 PREMIUM SLI

3. DFI ULTRA D OR SLI.

I have had good luck with MSI and A64.

But I might try one of the new DFI Expert boards when they come out.

If you are gonna try to maximize your overclock or plan to overclock then switch to DFI as that is the top ocing board. Otherwise just stick with your MSI as that is a good board also.

I have the asus - but its not an overclocking champ. The biggest letdow nis the HTT settings. It goes from 400, 333 266 - no 300 step like with the DFI. At time of purchase I didn't think I'd over clock but now I am - while I dont "regret" buying the asus, I could almost certainly get more of an o/c with the dfi.

Good luck.

Umm from my experience MSI is the best Motherboard in terms of Overclocking and Features, specially the Creative onboard sound card which rocks and i am able to overclock my cpu upto 2.6 easily.
But my concern was with DFI alot of people having a problems with their DFI motherboards. It is true?

I haven't really had any problems with my DFI motherboard. If you do have problems, you can go to dfi-street.com and it basically will answer all of your questions.

Only things I see is the extra Marvell LAN and SI SATA controller. I got the NEO4 SLI because I wouldn't use either and there was a big price difference when I bought. Heck I won't use all 4 SATA I do have because I still have a 4HDD RAID5 PATA setup I didn't want to have to upgrade.

1. That particular motherboard died on me, the only non-DELL motherboard I've witnessed die. (About 50 DELL over the course of a couple years)

3. I currently own the SLI-DR, and it has a perfect history here.

As for the Asus motherboard, I've only heard good things, but I've never owned that board. Most of my past motherboards were Asus though, and I've never had any problems. Great stability I hear.

I've also made other systems for people with that MSI board that still work fine, so any of them would be fine.

Just realize that if you plan on going SLI, for all of these except the ASUS you'll need single slot cooling for the video cards.

I vote for DFI. I own one and it has been great for me. My previous board was an Asus which also performed well, but not as good as my DFI.
