Pretty sweet deal if you don't mind rebates. Newegg has the MSI Twin Frozr II HD5830 for $149.99 shipped after rebate. This card uses quad heatpipes and dual fans. According to the user reviews MSI Afterburner 1.5.1 allows for voltage control with this card.

not normally a big 5830 fan, but that twin frozr cooler is awesome. should be able to get nice clocks out of it and still keep heat/noise under control.

They have the same $50 rebate on the HD 5850 Twin Frozr (bringing it down to $239.99). Is it worth $90 more than an HD 5830?

probably, though that depends upon your resolution. up to ~ 1680x1050 the 5830 should suffice, anything higher and the 5850 is the way to go.

5830 actually uses more power than 5850, however, so take that into account too. additionally, 5850 is actually pretty good all the way up to 2560x1600 and will probably have a longer useful life than 5830.

Yup, all ATI HD series feature a built-in Realtek Audio chip for sound unlike the Nvidia chips that have a cable that plugs into the motherboard.

Actually nvidia GTX 400 series has HDMI with audio pass-through. Took them long enough, but it works.
