Hello All!
I recently pieced together a nice new system with:
AMD 1Ghz retail processor
MSI K7T Pro2-A motherboard
512MB Crucial PC133 CL=2 Ram (just because prices so low!)
20Gb Quantum 7200RPM ATA 100
Fong Kai FK-603 case with an Enlight 300W PS
Ok - now for the question. I was going to transfer my Voodoo 3 2000 PCI card from my old Aptiva - That is until I stumbled upon how cheap newegg.com is selling MSI AGP cards. I have a choice between the MSI StarForce 816 (GeForce2 MX) for $95.00 shipped, or the MSI StarForce 815 (GeForce2 GTS) for $140.00 shipped. Any opinions? is the GTS really worth the extra $45.00. I am a sim-racing nut and will be playing a lot of Dirt Track Racing, DTR-Sprint Cars, NFS 3 and 4, and the newly-released Nascar 4. I am going with the MSI cards since I have an MSI motherboard (I figure if I ever have video problems - they can't blame the the manufacturer of the video card
). Thanks for your input!
