MSI Starforce 815 Geforce 2 GTS problems

I just got the card and installed the latest drivers from Nvidia's website. I am a bit worried about some artifacts that appear durring bootup. 90% of the time I get random characters on the screen durring the black DOSlike screens. Then in the Windows splash screen I see missing pixels or mis colored pixels. These go away in Windows when the resolution is set for anything above 640x480. Have yet to try many games. Should I be worried that the card is bad or not?

odd, i got the same card and it is working like a champ, not even
a extra spot ever. where did you buy the card? i bought from newegg.
but the driver could cause the problem. try 6.50, i am using it and
have no problem at all so far.

Have had the same card for about two weeks - notice a double flicker every time the Windows intro screen loads up. Thats it though - none of the other problems you are talking about.
