I heard these are the best slotkets and I was monitoring Oniva, and today I just ordered one because it was listed as back in stock

Onvia's online stock inventory means absolutely nothing to me, especially after 6 orders, finally, the 3rd package arrived today... So, they are now 3 of 6... but it takes them approximately 2-3 weeks before they tell you or mention anything about shipping yoru item, or it being backordered. I think they should seriously hire some more webmasters, or something...

But hey, who knows? Maybe Im just the unlucky schmuck that keeps getting screwed by onvia... i'm still waiting for the MSI KT7 Pro 2A, still waiting on 2 orders of SX830, ...

BTW, does anyone have the rebate form from Onvia for the 128MB PC 100CL2 ram? I sat on hold with Onvia.com for 95 minutes before I gave up... please if you do, email it to "rdsport323@mindspring.com"

thanks

Thanks for the heads up. :D

Got one last time and am running a Celeron 700 on an Abit BH6 with one. These are excellent and one heck of a deal. Gonna order a couple more too.

RD You are not the only one. I have put in 3 orders over the past couple months (twice for the 6905's) and 2 were "mysteriously" cancelled, and the 3rd finally went through...

Never got any email from them saying they were cancelling. Their web site is suck...but the prices keep me coming back *shame*.

I put in an order for a Netgear NIC for a friend, and when I got no package or email after a week, I went to check the status and found the item backordered. So I called to cancel and order a Linksys card, which came promptly, along with the Netgear card. They still haven't credited my card. I learned that you shouldn't use Webcertificate or similar things with these companies.

I think it's safe to say that the MSI is a popular board. I ordered it a week ago from TC and they now list it as "Allocated". Who knows when I'll get it. Drat...

Count me in as another unhappy Onvia customer. I have had my order cancelled while the site still shows in-stock. Only about 1/2 of my orders go through.

I talked to a CS rep and what he said is that orders are cancelled if they are not fulfilled within 5 days. I had an order that didn't get shipped for ~2 weeks and still showed In Progress in the order tracking section. I think that somehow orders fall through the crack and just sit there rather than get cancelled. They will not get fulfilled (at least that's what the rep said) even if the item is back in stock. I had to talk to him to get my item shipped to me.

anybody remember the 12x 8x 32x 6xDVD CDRW Ricoh drive? I ordered it and still haven't heard a thing from them. In their site, it still says "In Process".

I have ordered several of these and Celerons from Onvia and everyone of them has come to me in about 2 days. Even when they say Out of stock. They always come out of a Warehouse in Carol Stream, IL for me.

Well, me being over here in Los Angeles, CA... i've only had ONE time, where I was happy,... I purchased a Duron 750mhz in STOCK, and the next day, or the day after, I forgot, POOF, it shows up at my doorstep, with the Status online still being "In Process".. but that STILL doesn't make up for the now 3 of 7 orders.. but, their free shipping, and sometimes great prices keep drawing me back... but it sucks tho, should I wait to see if I will get the order? or shall I just order another sx830? same goes for every other item...

Now, the Slotket is Out of Stock... whoever lives the closest to where they are in stock, will get them.. which means, im A$$ed again.

Yeah, Onvia has slipped pretty dramatically in service levels over the last 8 or 9 months. Could very well be that they've had to cut back on personel a bit to offset the effect of cutthroat pricing... tho that's total speculation on my part. I don't order from them anymore unless I can find no other source.
