MSI S754 mobo $17.99 AR?

$50 off the $67.99 price with purchase of a Sempy 3000- but the rebate form only asks for photocopies of the UPCs- not box cutouts. So someone with a store nearby (or you could risk shipping getting it to you in <14d since rebates require postmark <15 from sale date) could, in theory, buy the combo, send in the rebate, subsequently return the proc, and wait for the rebate, thus in the end keeping the board for $17.99 + tax on $67.99.

In theory. Anyone ever tried this? Am I out of my mind?

The short answer is, "YES." Another post like this one advocating fraud, and you also will be out of a place to post... PERIOD!

you know...when I was younger I would consider stuff like this... I probably would never do it, but I would consider it. Now, as I get older I understand that things like this aren't acceptable in any fashion... If you are hurting for a deal that bad then do what you have to do...but I think most of us can agree that there is a certain sense of empowerment to being able to say you lived your life right.

Lock!

Ban?

This forum is for finding deals and maybe price mistakes, but not for ways to steal money.

Well after getting ripped off like about 70-80 bucks last year by those rebates which never heard from again. I say why not.

That depends on how long you want to remain a member of our forums. One reason may be that another post like that adovcating fraud will be reason to lock your account.
