Question MSI s/n don't match

Just got a MSi Ventus 2080TI with s/n on box and card that are different. Took
back to store and they will not take it back. Anyone have this happen..... I guess
it time for phone tag with MSI.
 
I've only seen this happen when people purchased open box or returned items (and the retailer didn't catch it).
 
I would contact MSI, they should have a records of both serial numbers.

I would not be happy about this, especially with space invaders being a thing.
 
Well my bad 😳, when I got the card, I jot down the s/n from the tag on the card,
then later ill do the reg. Well this card had 2 tag's, which one of them was covered
by the rubber guard for the gold contacts. So get the card...take off rubber
protector...put card in. didn't see 2nd tag. Both tags started with s/n.
