I bought a MSI GTX560Ti Twin Frozr a few months ago and after a few weeks of having it, it began artifacting in 3D applications, progressively getting worse until 3D apps were crashing within minutes. The Newegg RMA had ended, so I sent it back to MSI, which left me without a computer for ~2 weeks - very big pain. I forgot to check if the serial number changed, signifying that they sent me a new card, but sure enough after about another 2-3 weeks with the RMAd card, the same problems start to reoccur. Either I have terrible luck or it's the same card; From experience, I'm guessing the latter.
I RMA it a second time which takes even longer - close to 3 weeks. I talked to the tech who was testing my card by "running fur mark" (cool, I can do that myself...) and he said they didn't see anything wrong with it after testing over 24 hours and therefore cannot replace the card. I get it back again and I wasn't playing a ton of games for long periods of time since school started. I just built an entire new build for upcoming games, all new parts except this damned GPU. Sure enough, been playing BF3 a lot and just now the same shit starts happening. Black artifacts everywhere, eventually crashing. I turned the comp off, unplugged power, checked if Nvidia released any new BF3 beta drivers, etc - nothing.
I am beyond frustrated at this point. The second time was enough to make me avoid MSI like the plague when shopping for parts. I know there is something wrong with this card, especially since a ton of people on newegg gave feedback explaining the same problem, but they will not replace the card. What should I do at this point? If I RMA it a third time I guarantee the same thing will happen and I'll get back the same shoddy video card right around when Skyrim comes out and will have to deal with this for a fourth time.
tl;dr MSI won't replace my artifacting GPU because they don't see any problems. The issue has happened in two systems of mine and definitely is the card.
