Such fail. Claims 4K UHD support, yet no displayport connector on the back. What good is 4K @ 30Hz over HDMI? Not much.

I hope to get it to test soon - it looks like a great option for some smaller builds that I hope to do. I have the A88X-G45 GAMING in hand and ready to test Monday when my CPU gets here. Hopefully they both perform as good as they look :)

I love these fm2+ mini itx boards. They're so cheap, yet come with all the features you could need plus overclocking capabilities!
I built my brother a mini itx system and there was really no better deal than $180 for a Asrock mobo and 760k, (that overclocks to 4.3 ghz)...

Let's hope Microcenter starts to stock these A88X mini-ITX boards, because they have the A10-7850K for $129.99, and $40 off an FM2+ mobo to go with it. Seems like a great deal to me, especially for "casual gamers" (not enthusiasts). Would probably power through Facebook games like Farmville, with 8GB RAM and an SSD.

and what good is 4K for any screen under 150" @ ~6-7' viewing distance? Not much. :p

At any rate, your complaint is valid, especially when they waste space on a VGA port when they include DVI as well (just use an adapter FFS). Heck, could say the same for HDMI. No excuse not to include display port these days, unless its to be super cheap and there is only a single DVI or HDMI connection provided

I chose the ASSRock FM2A88X-ITX because it has a more modern audio chipset (ALC1150), ethernet controller (Qualcomm Atheros) and a HDMI IN/OUT instead of a dated VGA output.

That MSI is pretty barebones although I do like the Intel Wireless A/C.
