i just bought the msi r9 280x gaming graphics card.. my desire was to get a r9 290, but i did not want to raise my electric bill....anyhow...anyone here have the msi r9 280x, and give me some thoughts on it...😕

you should have gotten an r9 290. Unless you play 24/7, the difference in electricity bill isn't much. I think there's only a 50w difference between a 280x and a 290. If you were to play 8 hours a day, it would cost you about $2 more a month. LOL.

Anyhow, the msi 280x is quiet. However, I have had the fans fail on 2 of my msi 280x. It's good. It just isn't 290 good.

i tryed to cancel order from buy.com...cannot do..i bought through best buy marketplace.....probably going to be a hassle

i got the amd r9 290 in my rig now, paid $260...guy said he built a computer and guy did not pay for it...it looks new...i can tell things a quicker now than the r9 270x
