MSI - Quality or crap?

I really have no familiarity with MSI laptops. What I have noticed is that you can get a T70 dominator pro package for around $2300 and a similarly setup Dell laptop runs around $3300. That's quite a bit of difference for what looks like pretty much the exact same components. The only knock I have seen against these MSI packages is that it's a single fan tends to run a little bit loudly when it runs up and that the heat fans are out the bottom of the laptop somewhat and that the keyboard is a bit nonstandard.

Am I missing anything else? Are these laptops good quality? Has anybody had any poor experiences with MSI laptops?

I have heard generally good comments about MSI. Have you checked out Asus? I think they are priced reasonably, and my grandson is still using a 5 year old Asus gaming laptop (G 60 I think), which seems well designed and built. You also might check out some of the special gaming computer suppliers like Digital Storm or ibuypower.

MSI do make decent laptops, mostly their high end ones, I had their MSI WInd12 U230 and it was ok but these days I'd pick Asus and Dell over MSI.

I'd like to know about this myself, as Best Buy just stopped carrying the Lenovo Y50, so now I'm looking at the MSI Ghost GS60.
