MSI Pro2A wont recognize game controllers!

I installed this mb and it works fine but when connecting my joystick or wheel to the mb controller port, its not recognizing anything connected!
Is there a setting in the bios to enable or to force it to.

Does the onboard sound have to be enabled? I'd rather use the game port on the SBLive as both computers have them if I could get them to work.
Last time I used the joystick was with a PCI Ensoniq card.

Somebody with this mb must be using a joystick or some other controller.
