MSI Pro2a sound question

If I get the MSI Pro2a mobo, or any mobo with onboard sound, can I override it with a PCI soundcard? If so, how do I do it? Is it automatic, or do I do it through the bios?

Thanks for your help

Yes. It is disabled through the BIOS. Once that's done, it doesn't interfere at all. BTW, the sound on these boards is actually pretty good. Not SB Live! caliber, of course, but much better then we've seen on integrated ones before.

having it enabled prevented a game called HeroesIII to run for me. When I disabled in the BIOS, I could still get the sound, and the game played fine.
