Just wondering what results people are getting with this new bios. I got my Duron 700 running at 864 (8x108) with 2.2 but after flashing with the 1.6b the best i could get was 800(8x100). Not an improvement for me... I tried turning down the memory timings but still no luck. Oh well, back to 2.2 for me. So how's it workin for the rest of you?

I don't get any more speed out of my CPU with the OC BIOS. But I do get better memory scores.

Didn't really see any performance gains using the overclocker's BIOS on my Pro2-A. Once I used WPCREDIT and WPCRSET to hack the BIOS my memory score improved dramatically.

CPU performance stayed relatively the same, increase in memory performance of about 30-40 MB/sec though.

Only slight improvement, I was trying to get sandra MIPS over 3G, was hung at 2973, managed 3062
with D700. Still hung at 990, will post, but get errors at 1 gig.

Here are the Sandra scores from my non-overclocked 800. I compared the new OCer's bios to 2.4, and averaged the scores over three runs:

*Bios version 2.4
CPU 2202, 1081
Multi-Media 4428, 5380
Hard Drive 22321, 15489 (two partitions)
Memory 433, 537

*Bios version V1.0B16 Special
CPU 2204, 1082
Multi-Media 4434, 5388
Hard Drive 22261, 15465 (two partitions)
Memory 462, 573

I haven't yet tried OCing or testing 3D apps, but that's quite a nice boost to the memory scores from the outset. BTW, memory timings in BIOS set by SPD in both tests. Looks like MSI has also fixed the HD performance from the old OCer's BIOS... kind of anxious to see how/if the AGP scores went up too.

i was using the old V1.0B14 bios and after i flashed the new V1.0B16 bios

i noticed the different over the memory scores

V1.0B14
461/533

V1.0B16
480/582

this is not bad :)
