MSI P7N SLI troubleshooting

can't get my motherboard to post up

msi p7n sli platinum ms-7380 ver. 1.0

e2180

e8400 e0

2 x 2gb g.skill pc26400

seagate 7200.10 sata 250gb

750 watt HEC

geforce 6200 OC (PCI)

I have a red led, and blue led. all the fans in the case/cpu/gpu are spinning, hdds and cdrom seeking.

However, there is no display, just a blank screen. any suggestions?

Perhaps its just coincidence but w/o kb it booted and after it would not. Try a different kb and see what happens.

thanks for the responses.... tried another keyboard it still wouldn't boot. Next i have a second motherboard, and second vga coming. Will try a few more tests on this p7n before i make an rma

Just a quick heads up, for rma use the website the tech support is pretty bad over the phone and no one ever answers.

Well if its new then you should return it to the place of purchase for a refund or exchange. I had a p7n diamond for all of 24hrs after my striker II died and it was a giant pita for me. I couldn't run it stock with my q6600 but it would boot if I oc'd it to 3ghz, memory problems with my corsair - had to swap in some extra mushkin ddr2 I had laying around. When it refused to dl and install windows updates I had enough so I pulled it out and took it back. That was a very different experience from the one I had with my p6n sli plat which was a super mb.
