MSI P6N Diamond multiplier changing between 6 and 9

I'm trying to figure out why my processor is running slowly. I just ran CPU-Z and the multiplier keeps changing between 6 and 9 which drops the core speed down to 1600... This is with the default mother board settings. Is there something that I should be changing to keep my core speed where it should be?

I can't find a c1e setting, but EIST has been disabled along with D.O.T., disabling EIST and DOT are the defaults. any idea where C1E setting would be? It did look like dynamic throttling back, but I have DOT disabled, and when I tried loading up an HD podcast like Digg it simply leaves the settings at 1600 despite the additional load balance.

I think the C1E is under the power menu, but not sure I will check on mine when I get home. Just out of curiosity, why would you want it running at 100% all the time? Isn't it better to save the power (as little as it is) and maybe give your cpu a break?

Ok for C1E, in Bios, Go to ->Advanced Bios Features -> CPU Feature -> C1E Support disabled/enabled...

I'm looking and there's no such option are you. I'm on bios version 2.61, would that affect this?

oh, SNAP!

This is really annoying. I spent all day looking to figure out why this wasn't showing the correct processing speed. You guys were right, it was this C1E setting, but get this, it's hidden!
you have to go to the location that you mentioned and then hit the F4 key in order to unhide the option. Once it's made viewable you can see that it's enabled. What a pant load that is!

Thanks so much everyone, here's where I got the last bit of info on it: http://www.viperlair.com/revie...l/lga775/650i/p2.shtml
