Hey Anandtech

This is my first post on Anandtech, so first of all thank you for taking the time to try and help!

I own the MSI P67A-C43 motherboard and a few days ago I made the noob mistake of flashing the incorrect bios (p67a-c43 (B3)). On boot I am able to use f11 to open the boot selector screen, but all selections cause a system reset. I have tried CMOS clear and I have also tried putting the correct bios on a USB and flashing it correctly. Unfortunately nothing has worked yet. With a USB plugged in I receive a warning saying "Warning!!! BIOS ME update....file not found. Please add file to your USB."

Thanks again for the help!

Looks to me that they use the same BIOS since the top BIOS for the C43 is also on the list for the B3 board. MSI has the tendency not to update BIOS listings for all revisions of the same board.
It looks like you had a bad flash if clear CMOS did not work.

Why did you update the bios? Just curious. I used the MSI flash utility and it went flawless.

Contact MSI.
Note that the BIOS chip is soldered to the board so you cannot easily replace it yourself.

The above statement makes me believe you were doing the bios update that gives Ivy Bridge support. It was a two part flash if I remember correctly. The bios would flash, then reboot and flash the ME portion of the bios. Kinda sounds like you pulled the plug between the flashes.

What happens if you put the wrong bios on the USB stick and bootup?
