MSI P55-GD65 Restarts instead of wakes from sleep

Hi.

I recently overclocked my i5-760 on a MSI P55-GD65 from 2.8 to 4 GHz and am running Windows 7.

However, now when I put the computer to sleep(S3), when I wake it up(from keyboard, etc) it restarts instead waking; where before the oc it worked.

I tried using S1 and it wakes properly, but S1 keeps the fans on and the computer still uses >100W, not much better than idle.

Has anyone else had problems with this, or this even the right place to post this question?

This seems to be a recurring problem with certain motherboards. Mobos aren't my specialty, but you can start with the basics: grab the latest BIOS and see if that fixes the issue.

Thanks for the reply and the move.

I do have the latest BIOS version.

Could this be from turning off certain power-saving features to OC?
