Is anyone using this card? I was looking to buy the vanilla 6600 version, but I see this has some slightly better numbers, and most importantly VIVO ability. I am not really looking to play a lot of games, but I'm sure this card would be fine for occasional games.

If anyone has it, I'd like to hear your experiences.

Really the only other card I saw in this price/level range with VIVO was the x600xt. Is that any better/worse?

Thanks in advance.

MSI's 6600gt is very good so I would assume their 6600 is good as well.

Its not the fastest card...

It will probably give you between 9700p and 9600p performance.

is this the 400/800mhz 6600?(known as 6610xl in nv drivers)
if it is, it's fast, has 2.0ns ram, so 9 out of 10 times, it'll be just as fast as the 6600gt if you overclock it and will be between 9800 and 9800pro speeds stock.

much better than x600xt(it's a 9600xt with a bridgechip)

The one he's talking about I BELIEVE has 3ns memory on it because that's what everyone else has told me about it when I was thinking about getting a 6600 Vanilla. So no it will not clock up to GT speeds but it is decent nonetheless.

I've just finished doing some forum research and have convinced myself that I can achieve what I want with a MSI 6600 (vanilla) and a Lifeview FlyTV Platinum video capture card. Basically, I am looking to have a good/decent VGA and be able to convert old family video to DVD. From what I've read so far, these should do the trick.
