MSI notebooks, how good are they?

So, I'm planning on buying a laptop soonish. I'm shopping as though it will happen within the next few months, although it might end up waiting a year. In anycase, right now, I'm leaning towards the MSI MegaBook S270 (MS-1013 whitebook). I've just got a few concers

1) in my mind, MSI has always been fairly hit-or-miss when it comes to reliability of their products, and I just wanted to see what the general opinion of their notebooks are. How would you rank the overall build quality, durability, etc.

2) is MSI an ODM? or are their notebooks based on a different manufacturer.

and an unrelated question: does anyone know of any 12.1" notebooks (or in that approximate size) that have a discrete graphics chip? either an NV 6-series or an ATI X series? I'm going with the S270 because i think the RS480 integrated graphics will be sufficient for my needs (it's definately better than GMA900, which is all you can find in that small a notebook), but more power is always a plus. It doesn't have to be AMD, even though I'd rather support AMD.

Thanks.
