msi nforce problems????

The other day i just put together my new pc. I got it up and runnin but it has a few problems........
It only shows my processor as a 1.05ghz??????.....But i got a xp 1600+ thats a 1.4ghz processor?????
I made sure all the jumpers for the fsb were set to the correct settings but thats all it shows. I thought maybe i need to update the bios. But it won't let me use a floppy drive.....it just says something like floppy drive fail.....on the post screen .....I've tried three different drives!!!!!!!!!! I know the cables are on correctly because it can only go on one way. I'm thinkin maybe somethins up with the board???? Maybe it could be the psu???.....its one that came in a compgeeks case i got recently.....all it says is it's a 350watt psu. I'll try a different approved one here soon.
If anybody has any suggestions i would really appreciate it!!!!!!!!!!!!

msi k7n420 pro
xp 1600+
512mb ddr

It needs to be running at 133fsb to be at 1400. Not sure if thats a bios setting for that motherboard or if you need to change a jumper. Its running at 100fsb right now to get 1050. If your sure you changed all the jumpers right and theres not a bios setting then I would have to say that board is messed up.

Are you using the end plug on the floppy drive? The one that has the twisted part of the cable going to it. Thats the A: part of the cable. ( In other words its end to end - middle plug is the B🙂 Also have you tried a different floppy cable?

Good luck man.
