ZZF added that picture a long time ago, and it's outdated. But it's obvious they have the final revision board that is pictured on the MSI and newegg website

I got mine today from zipzoomfly. I can confirm it does have a 4x PCI-E slot, so like others said, ZZF's info is just incorrect. I won't get the rest of my components until next tuesday, so thats about all I can confirm. :)

and when you go to msicomputers.com is doesn't say with ecc.

Use a hair dryer to heat the stock backplate and soften the adhesive tape holding it on. ;)

Neither the manual or the box make any reference to ECC memory, so I'd say its just an error on their website.

Also check to see if you can do the mod on this board to turn it into sli. Maybe it uses the SLI pcb, who knows.

As it was said earlier the biggest difference in the dfi and this msi is the dfi has way more voltage options. Annand will have a review on Tues. of the retail dfi NF4 board.

I set up the MSI Neo4 Plat last night and even with a beta bios with more vcore options, it still needed a vcore hardware mod to get anywhere over 1.72v. finally got over 1.8 with the bios and the mod. Haven't done much testing, but so far it is pretty nice and starts off clocking at least as high as the NEO2. The layout is quite different though. Basically if you like the NEO2 you should like this one excecpting the skimpy vcore options. by the way the vcore mod is very easy. One sodder point.

Speaking of backing plates,

I am thinking of ordering one of these as well as a thermalright xp-90. Does anyone know if the backing plate is compatible with the XP-90? Thermalright says they require a metal one and I can't find any info on the one that ships with this motherboard!

Thanks a lot!

For the heck of it I tried fitting my pcie card into the other slots on this baord and it did not fit in any other of the express slots, so I would say you can't do sli.

It's metal, same as Neo2.
