MSI Neo4 Plat SLI with PCI Voodoo3 3000

Will I run into any problems getting video on this motherboard with a PCI card? I'll just being using it to test/setup the machine until I order my PCI-E solution. thanks
 
Nope.

I just setup a DFI LanParty NF4 Ultra D which has about 300x more problems than any MSI board with a Voodoo 3 PCI. I myself am waiting for a 7800GT to ship (stupid Dell).

Man you are in line for an upgrade (a tad better than my machine in the sig though =P)
 
Well do have fun with your build.

I just played STARCRAFT last night on my 3700+ w/ Voodoo 3. Great huh. I get 2227 3D Marks (2k1) while I get 3600 on the rig in my sig. That's just sad. I get 7k with my laptop, and I'm dealing with a new desktop that can't do JACK. STUPID DELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL SHIP MY 7800GT already.
 
wow 2227 isn't actually that bad for a voodoo 3. I remember getting a score like that for my geforce 2 and being impressed by max payne.
 
The original poster of this post is my friend and he asked me to see if anyone would know the first steps in checking whats wrong with all of his new hardware that has been sent in.

He already had the memory so he is sure it works and he already was sure the voodoo is a working video card.

He setup his machine and everything is powering on the lights harddrive and ect..

I said I didn't know maybe the thing has to have it set in bios to use pci or something but I dont have much knowledge on theese new PCI-E boards.

Can someone drop some info on this situation?
