MSI neo4 on-board sound issues...

I have had this board for a while and only recently started playing with the "extra" sound output and none of them work. The AC97 is set to "auto" in the BIOS, but i cant get any sound out of any jack except for the line-out. I also cant get any sound out using the line-in (which i know is getting a signal). Is there a way to make sure that the controller is detecting these devices?
