Has anyone heard rumor of the 7800GTX not physically fitting on this board?

Nope I haven't. The only issue I hear of with MSI motherboards is that they place the NB right under the video card, so getting a tall aftermarket NB cooler is a bit tough.

Yes, I have. There is a capacitator that blocks the card from fitting. I'm pretty sure that this is only with the second pci-e slot for sli though, so I believe a single card works.

It's only an issue with the 2nd PCI-E slot. And with a little work, it won't be a problem at all.

My MSI mobo and MSI AGP had an interference fit between a capacator on the AGP and HDD wire to board ,( sorry i forget the term just now). had to bend the capacator and there is now a touch condition between teh two but does not seem to afect so far. The layout is something i will be aware of on my next build.

I saw some posts and the inquirer article mentioning this, but I'm building a few demo systems for a work project and we're using the MSI K8N SLI board and a pair of Aopen 7800GTX's and it fit.

There is a capacitor in the way and it looks like the plastic portion of the GPU heatsink fan connector is pressing against it, but I was able to get the card fully seated in the 2nd PCI-E slot without any trouble or the capacitor bending.

According to Nvidia they're aware of the issue and are working with MSI on fixing it in a revision of the board. They also said there shouldn't be any issues with the plastic tab touching the top of the cap. I'll post an update if I run into issues!
