I had to reformat my harddrive because I had lost some system32 files and when I went to go install winXP Pro back on it It wouldnt install. I woulnt even get to the point where you press enter to make a partition. It would get locked up when setup check the system hardware and everything. It would get stuck on this Hardware anaylst or something. So then I tried my xp home and it still didnt work. So then I tried another CDrom, different harddrive, different ram and different slots, another floppy, another video card...everything you would do to try and troubleshoot the problem. Samething everytime. So finnaly I had to take it to the shop so they can fix it. They said that there was a problem with SP1 and my motherboard so they took my copy and made an updated version of my XPdisk with SP2 on it. But the thing is I've had to reformat my harddrive 3times before (because Imesh lite would delete my system32 files...im not using that again) and ive install my copies of XP with SP1 with no problem. So whats going on here?

The standard XP pro installer does have the problem where it would get a black screen when it says "setup is starting windows" because it think it has the video driver when it does not. And slipstreaming SP1 or SP2 does fix that.
