I had the 1.5 BIOS but upgraded to 1.B.
Before I changed the BIOS my idle average was 40C and load went all the way up to 51C with a Venice 3000+ with stock HSF  Very hot for that processor!

But after going to 1.B the idle temps are around 25C and load in the mid to low 30s.

I was just wondering if upgrading the BIOS would have that much impact on temps and if it was right because I plan to OC soon and I want the correct temps so it doesn't show that its cooler than it should be.

chances are that the actual temp didn't change at all but they recalibrated it to change the reported temp

Well I meant is the reported temp now correct or was it the old one?

Likely neither.

The Neo2 was infamous for incorrectly reporting temps, & i don't think any of the bioses ever really were totally accurate.

On mine, i always got reported temps 7-9C higher than they really were, regardless of what bios i used...
