Does anyone know when this is coming out? They said at computex that the 680 lightning and this mobo come out in July, but I was able to order the 680 Lightning last night...

I don't really want to put it in my old computer, but I would rather not leave it in the box. I really really want to upgrade the whole thing. Currently I am rocking an i5 750/ATI 5870 combo and I am ready for ivy bridge!

I can't accept any other motherboard because this one matches the Lightning perfectly 😛

It'll come out when it comes out.

But you can also Paint the stripes on the 670 red so it'd match an ROG, which has a good service record and is a PROVEN overclocking beast.

There appears to be a paradox here. You are telling me I should get the ROG ATX mother board and paint my card to match it... yet you also say I should not get the MSI mother board because it will be new and have bugs yet the ROG ATX has not come out yet so when it does it will be new and not have bugs?

Please help me before the universe implodes.

ROG has been around a long time. They make AMAZING boards.

MSI boards are just..meh
 
I sent a tweet today to @msiUSA asking for a status update for the supposed July launch. I find it strange that there has not been a preview / review or even retail box shots.

I may end up settling for the 65.

Yes I do 🙂 - I am in contact with my friends and contacts @ MSI HQ and right now all I can say is that it is soon 😉 . I too am looking forward to the board as I have tested many boards for them over the last few years and I and have loved the progression that they all have made since I first tested the X58 Platinum SLI on the Intel side and the 790GX-G65 (which I still have next to me 🙂
 
I'm interested in the new MSI Z77 board(s). Still can't decide which way to go for my Ivybridge rig. The MSI BIOS has come a long way. I like how the Windows app looks exactly like the BIOS.
 
ok - I am working on what and when I can give some info - what I will say is that you will likely be happy with yourself if you do wait 😉 I would definitely be 😉 😉 The wait will be understandable
 
As far as I am concerned it will not be worth the wait. It brings nothing unique to the table and does not even have thunderbolt. I gave up and went with the new GA-Z77X-UP5 TH. I fear that the MSI mpower does not even feature the IR3550 PowIRstage® ICs. If it did you would think they would have mentioned it by now.

I mean seriously, how many times are they going to post "coming soon?"

And of all ways to show off a coming product they post this?
