MSI Motherboards only work with TEAC FLOPPYS?

hello,

im from germany and one of our great resellers says that MSI kt133 motherbords only work with TEAC floppys.

is this true?

Well that is not true to put it politely anyway I`ve a NEC floppy drive in my MSI K7T Pro board.Btw if you are talking about floppy discs mine takes any brand.

mhm, then i will email the reseller :)

they say the MSI K7T PRO (MS-6330) ONLY works with Teac Floppy Discs.

I'll say it less politely... the reseller is full of crap!

I have three MSI boards here.. one 6167, a 694D Pro, and a KT133... all three are using Mitsumi floppies and they're working just fine.

My roommate is running his MSI K7T Pro using an ancient floppy drive. The kind that has the red LED. Works fine.

I would think that it really shoudln't matter. Its not as though TEAC drives will have any special interface.
