MSI Master slocket?

Anybody know how to use it with the old style slot one retention brackets like the rev1.0* Abit BH6's came with?

Duck tape ! hehehehe 🙂🙂🙂

P.S.
Seriously, you might be able to replace the brackets with one of the other varieties.

Is that the slocket that has the addon retention things that clip on the top? If so, you need to modify them a little bit.

Fireball,

I do have a MSI slocket ver.1 that uses the things I think your talking about but my MSI master slocket didn't come with any. It has like a cartridge with an ear on each side. Heres a pic of it.

Anyone know where I can get a slot one retention bracket that is compatible with this slocket?

That has to be version 2, because version 1 didn't even have that plastic backplate. THe normal mounting backets for PII/PIII's that came with my Abit BX6r2 worked just fine with that.

The MS 6905 capacitors hit the plastic retention brackets on my bh6 so I hack sawed off 2 triangular pieces (1/4" X 1&quot😉 and it still holds the CPU in place on a tower case just fine.
