I have had problems booting computer and after replacing a stick of SDRAM 133 memory, it booted . After 24 hrs, computer again stopped and won't boot.
(other causes already looked at ) It seems that two sticks have failed in short space of time. ( But they haven't yet been tested ) Between sticks one and two I had cleared the CMOS using jumper on J BATT ( Computer was switched off!! )
Someone suggested the reason second stick failed do early was that the bios was incorrectly set for the SDRAM 133 memory after the CMOS clearing which would, of course, made all setting at default.
Does anyone know what the default setting is for this mobo, if not for 133 SDRAM? Also wher do i look in the bios to check it is set correctly?
BTW - I have downloaded the manual and according to that there is a jumper on the board to change FSB to 100 or 133 . But on my Motherboard there is NO such jumper on the board!!
