Are you sure those are lightnings? Don't lightnings have a wider than normal pcb?
If those cards are using refrence boards than I wouldn't consider them lightnings.
Ill give you $500 for both if you want the upgrade...

They were lightnings, pictured at the AMd - HardOCP FX gaming experience convention today.
The cards in the OP have only 2x 6pin connectors and normal looking pcb boards.
If you search Newegg for 6970 lightning or 580gtx lightning you'll notice that both cards (in the image gallery) are using the the wider pcb boards and have 2x 8pin connectors. The cards in the OP have only 2x 6pin connectors and normal looking pcb boards.
However there is a Twin Frozr III 6950 which looks similar to the pics in the OP but MSI doesn't call them lightnings.
Then, obviously, they're not 7970's because all 7970's, at least so far, use a 6-pin and 8-pin connector, not 2 x 6-pin connectors.
How are you guys even so sure? I can't tell if its 2x 6 pin or 2+8 in that picture, too small.
HOWEVER. People in attendance at the event stated it was touted as a TF3 7970. I take them at their word, because they were there and I wasn't. Please tell me why on earth AMD and MSI would show at 6950 at this event?
I'm 99% sure it was a 7970, maybe a pre release version. This was at the big AMD this past weekend, it would make absolutely no sense for MSI to showcase 6950s. People in attendance claimed MSI touting it as a 7970.
