MSI laptop opinions?

doesn't look bad at all.....i just bought a similiar Toshiba for $1270. ALmost the same, but it uses slower RAM (333Mhz) and and has a Mobility x600.

Also, if this uses the same chipset, is it possible to use faster RAM (ie 400MHZ) ?

Just another question.....why does the p-m 760 cost less that the 755? AFter all, the 760 has a faster FSB.

I don't own one but have looked over reviews for this model quite a bit. I think you'll be fine. Are you assembling this yourself? Be sure and do post a review when you get it!

Actually i ordered it from rawpowerpc and they are putting it together except the OS. I didnt order the os from them. Last time i checked, it's still being assembled. Hopefully it'll arrive sometime this week. -=]

What's wrong with Intel mobile processors. The world won't fall apart if the OP chose that over AMD.

I own a MSI-1013 , I ordered this as a whitebox notebook and customized it with the Turion64.. I have 2 complaints about this laptop. The wireless reception stinks. I even changed out the wireless card to see if that was the problem. 2nd The optional MSI wireless bluetooth card was trash, took me alot of digging and i finally figured out how to enable it.
I also own an Asus M6N laptop, I wish I had bought an Asus instead of this thing. But the size and weight of this laptop is great, I don't know anything about your particular model, but im not too impressed with the quality of my 1013.

Judging by the review on notebook forum the 1022 looks like a nice model. Have fun with your new purchase!
