MSI KT8 neo 4 board and power supply problem

I'm building a computer for a friend but the case that came with it had a 400W power supply with a 20pin motherboard connector. But the MSI KT8 Neo boards has a 24pin to supply power to it.

The 20pin does fit into the 24pin on one position but that leaves 4 sockets emptyon the motherboard. Would it still boot? I'm not turning it on just in case I fry the board this way haha. Can anyone tell me? Also the manual does recommend a 450W or above PS.

Can anyone give me some input on this? Thanks! 🙂
