Hi, my msi kt7 turbo raid has to be running in CLEAR CMOS JUMPER ( put the jumper in 1 - 2 pin )

If i try to put in 2 - 3 pins, it clear the cmos instead and the computer won't even boot up.

I saw in the user manual and it said backward. 1-2 pin should be the CLEAR and 2-3 should be the KEEP data.

Probably that is why i can NOT flashed my bios.

anyone have some problems? any ideas how to make it correct?

Sounds like the manual is indeed wrong.
If you are having to do the pin trick during overclocking adventures, you might see if the T Raid will do what my Pro 2 will do....that is when the screen does dark at reboot, wait a second or two ...hold down control/insert, push the reset on the case ...wait for the beep ...and go right back into the bios. All that will need to be changed is the speed/freq settings.

I tried to flash the bios using regular awl stuff and it doesn't work. However, when i tried using winflash and it is succesfully flashed my bios to 2.5 which can be found on Germany website.

I really want to try the o/c bios but unfortunately the winflash can not flash using '/nbl' switch

Other problem is when i o/c my duron 700 to merely 815 (using default multiplier and 115 bus), it can boot BUT when i restart, it takes a very long time to boot up and sometimes it WON'T boot at all.

I have to clear the CMOS (put the jumper to 2-3) and go to 700 again.

Any ideas why is it happening? Is my mobo defect??? Thx
