I just bought this motherboard, and it woulnd't post, or even boot up, it boots up and it just shut it self off for some reason ..
Im having the same problem, but mine won't even post at all... anyone know how to fix that ?
I tried different cpu on, all works good .. tsk tsk .. MSI..

Below is wat a user on newegg quoted..
"This motherboard has potential, but is plagued with problems. Had to rma the first one (wouldn't post). The second one worked, but was VERY unstable. I couldn't run my xp2400+ at 133 x 15 (suggested setting) at all; no mobo post. Had to underclock the fsb to 100 for stability, but that's such a waste. It would run a spare xp1600+ that I had lying around at 133 though, but would crash sporadically. I gave up on the kt400. I have more confidence in the nForce2 chipset. "

Maybe you got a bad board?

Maybe you have bad ram?

I have an MSI KT4VL and it rocks.

Becarefull when someone makes blanket statements about a chipset that basically works just fine. Plagued with problems? I don't think so. Same could be said about the Nforce2 as many people have small issues.

First thing I would do would be to test the ram and try it on a different system. Or try known good ram in your new board.

Also a good idea would be to post what is in this system.

it could possibly be a heat issue. Try cleaning off your cpu/hsf and reapplying the ol Arctic Silver. When I got my MSI I couldn't run my XP 1900 at 133mhz only at 100mhz. Turned out I wasn't getting good contact.
Cleaned my cpu off and set it back up and haven't looked back since.

Your power supply have at least 185-200 watts comined on +3 & +5 circuits (See PSU label or maker's site)?
