MSI KT4 Ultra questions

I'm building a machine for a friend, and I'm looking at the MSI KT4-Ultra series of motherboards. A couple of questions:
1.) Has anyone here had any experience with them (firsthand)?
2.) What have you heard about them?
3.) When are the first serial ATA hard drives coming out?
4.) General comments on the boards feature sets

What I've heard basically says there are better boards out there like the KT3 Ultra. Apparently the KT400 still has it's issues. however I have no FIRST hand experience yet. This is just what some other people say.

just helped my buddy throw together a 2200+ box together with this board.
1) Went together pretty easy, no real problems at all. However, we used a single stick of corsair 512 pc3200, so YMMV

2) So far it's been really stable, and reasonably speedy... it's hard to answer a question like this

3) Not a freaking clue, lol

4) He got the none-RAID board, which I would die without because I have so many IDE devices. I don't like losing pci slots for controllers
The onboard sound is, well, not nearly as good as my TBSC, but thats to be expected. Lack of firewire kind of irked me, but he said
he had no use for it, so whatever. The bios, while effective and having everything I was looking for, seemed tobe lacking... something. I can't explain
this, at all, but it didn't feel right. However, it did set up really nicely and items were easy to find. Also, the lack of RAID on the board will be considerably
lessened when serial ATA drives come out in full force, so we'll see. All in all, it seems like a pretty good choice, plus, hey, it's red, how can you lose
