this is my first ever computer i'm going to build myself and i am also stuck on mobo choices...
on a tight budget :(

MSI KT3 ULTRA
link
which is the choice for VALUE GAMING by anandtech...

or SOLTEK SL-75DRV5
link
which has the "SmartDoc. Anti-burning Shield" thing... maybe it's good for a newbie

the soltek only cost $10 more...

any comments and suggestions would be very appreciated :D

either one should work great

kt333 boards are all very similar in performance/stability, what you need to look for are the features you want.

for me personally i want a good overclocking board :D thats why i bought the epox 8k3a+ (very sweet board)

Shuttle AK35GTR. From Newegg at $76+8s&h, a hair lower than the MSI. Nice onboard sound, like the MSI, no USB 2.0, but does have RAID. Comes with an extra USB bracket and a sub/center output bracket. It runs fine, just overclocks poorly.
Otherwise go with either. I'd go w/ the MSI simply because I set up the -ARU version and it was quite nice, but I imagine the Soltek is good as well.
