MSI KT266 Pro = Crap!!

I don't know if its me or the motherboard...

Did 3 clean installs of windows, then installed the drivers for the board...rebooted... WHAMO BSOD!!! This happened every single time... I format the drive, reinstall Windows...install the drivers... WHAMO!! again!! BSOD..

Put in my trusty EPox 8K7A and all the problems disappear. Go figure. Any suggestions? Anyone have this <sarcasm> Great board</sarcasm>?

Anyways, I am planning on returning it.

I would not say crap,the latest ones seem ok &amp; very stable go here for the MSI K7T266 Pro-R review ,back to your problem well try a minimal install of hardware like just video card,ram, cpu &amp; harddrive,does this help?

Anyway it`s possible your MSI is faulty if you have no luck with the above.

Have you updated to the 1.2 BIOS?

its up to version 1.1 I don't have the RAID version, thats what 1.2 helps. It was unstable before and after the update.

Is there any known problems with Micron ram in these boards? Maybe thats the culprit

Sounds like a conflict to me. Disable 4x AGP, AGP fast write, then LMK how that works.

If that doesn't work then don't install the motherboard drivers.

I turned down all the settings and that didn't work. It had the r126 resistor on it, and I can't remember if its the revised board or not.

Anyways, the board is going to go back
