MSI KM4AM-L & XP-M?

I need a socket-A mATX motherboard with SATA, a good amount of space around the cpu, passively cooled chipset, supports multiplier adjustment etc. There was a great AOpen board that fit the bill (AOPEN vKM400Am-S), but I can't find it anywhere anymore. The next best board I can find is the MSI KM4AM-L, but I have no idea whether it supports multiplier adjustments so that I can use a 35W XP-M.

Does anyone know if this board supports multiplier adjustments, or if there are any other boards out there that fit my needs, or where I can find that AOPEN board?

The Biostar M7NCG 400 has everything you need except lots of room around the CPU skt. which is a tough one to accomodate along with all the other requirements in a mATX board. Good luck :)

someone informed me that all MSI motherboards since the Athlon days have multiplier adjustments...any truth to that? The MSI board would have to be the best of the KM400A boards if this was true

This is not true, particularly of MSI's mATX boards, which generally offer little in the way of overclocking except FSB adjustment that is limited by having no VCore adjustment. The mATX boards based on nForce2 might be the exception here because nForce2 has such a following among enthusiasts. But KM266/KM400? Not likely.

Try the AMD VIA Socket A Mainboard category at MSI Forums.
