Hello, i'm new to AMD overclocking, so please help me out here...

My Specs..
MSI K9N4 SLI...mobo
AMD Athlon 64 x2 3800...cpu
2GB DDR2667...Ram
300 GB...HardDrive
7950 GTOC..gfx card

Ok, so I got a AMD athlon x2 3800 today, i tried to overclock it with MSI K9N4 SLI and i could only get it upto 2.2 GHz (220 fsb). If i even change it by a couple more it will crash me and says "OC config failed".

Here are the options i see in bios...
FSB multiplier...X10
CPU Voltage...1.264 V
Cool n Quiet...Disabled
Adjust Extra CPu Voltage...Default
CPU Frequency...220
CPU Dynamic overclocking...Disabled
Cpu Frequency Config(options in this below)
-CPU Voltage
-CPU Ratio (Multiplier)

BTW my CPU Temp is usually in 25 C, and 32 while playing a game.

I have also tried lowering the memory fsb.
Please let me know what should i do or what am i doing wrong. And i really want to Overclock this atleast upto 2.5 GHz (I seen people get it upto 2.8 GHz) .

Please suggest what every you have to say. I never Overclocked a AMD before.

Welcome to anandtech. This is how you overclock an Athlon 64. The only difference will be that you'll want to put your memory voltage (vdimm) @ 2.0 or 2.1, and your memory timings to 5-5-5-18. Those timings equate to CAS=5 or Tcl=5, Trcd=5, Trp=5, Tras=18. Leave all of your other RAM timings @ auto, besides vdimm. That's all you really should need to know.
