MSI K9N NEO Woes

I ordered a new amd 4600+ system with an MSI K9N Neo.

Nothing but troubles. I couldn't install vista NOR xp, until I realized the board is picky about my dual channel setup. That took about 4 hours to finally figure out.

So I take out a stick of ram for single channel use.

Vista installs fine, only none of the drivers work (even though MSI's site says they are compatible). I've been trying to get the sound to work for 3 hours and haven't had any luck.

SOUND. I mean who has trouble installing sound drivers anymore?

Then I install the latest VISTA COMPATIBLE ATI drivers. Vista won't load and I have to rollback the drivers to the default Vista drivers.

I'm thinking maybe I have an old Bios or something with all these problems. So I load up MSI Liveupdate - oops, not compatible with vista.

Knowing it will work with XP, I fire up my XP CD to install it on another partition (only for the liveupdate so I can update the bios).

For some reason XP won't install now....and SOMEHOW it messed up my Vista install (installed on a completely different hard drive), and now my computer won't boot at all!!

This whole time I've been thinking it's Vistas fault when I load up the MSI forum and notice other people having nothing but problems with this mobo.

Anyone have similar experiences with this thing? Any Ideas? Should I just RMA this and order a different board? If so, which one?
