Hi,

I was wondering, does anyone has trouble installing windows on this motherboard. I tried Windows XP Pro and Windows Vista but kept running into trouble. It would just stop midway. Seems like a driver problem, but I did try loaded the driver that came with the motherboard by pressing F6. This happen on two same motherboard.
If anyone can give me hint of what's going on with this motherboard. I can't believe that I would have 2 bad motherboards. Thanks for looking.

Oh yeah, I test out all the other components and they are working fine. Problem occurred after all files copy and computer reboot. It stuck when it get to installing device.

I've dealt with this over and over and over again. Do yourself a favor and download the driver from another source. Also, boot off the cd that came with the motherboard and use it to make the F6 floppy. Also, you may need to flash the BIOS to the newest version.

I'm 90% sure that your solution will be had in one of these things. Other than that, there is always the possibility that you've got RAM troubles, behind ram in likelihood are other hardware issues, such as the HDD chipset controller, the HDD themselves, the cdrom drive, the cdrom, power supply, processor. But probably its the mass storage control driver you've got on that floppy or its the motherboard's BIOS.

Thanks. I think I have eliminated other possibility besides the chipset controller. I don't have the system with me, but I will tell my friend to update the BIOS and see if I can find the driver from a different source. I did the F6 floppy with the driver from the original CD, but that didn't work either.
